S&T Site Update (WordPress 2.5, etc)

By S&T Eds, 9 April 2008 | Email Email | Print Print

S&T

Over lunch today we updated Scripture & Theology to the latest version of WordPress, the engine that powers this site. There were a few snags with plugins, but to our knowledge these have been resolved. The result, hopefully, is a more pleasant experience for all users (though it is the editors in particular who stand to benefit most).

Do let us know if you encounter problems we have not yet addressed.

Subscribers will notice a change to your profile page (link/menu: top right). Eventually we may add “about the author” pages, so if you have contributed, or plan to, consider adding a “bio” line about yourself here. You can also control the way your name appears in comments and bylines.

While we’re at it, we’d like to bring attention to our standing “call for posts.” A few have responded, but we would love to see a number of new submissions.

You have to be registered to contribute, but registration is open and free. By now you can get an idea of the range of things we’re interested in—new readers, see our About page above all—so if you are interested in this subject area, please think about contributing!
